Volume sets the base
Pricing runs on truck fractions — quarter, half, full. A sofa set is a small fraction; a garage sort's haul pile is usually more than guessed; a whole-house clear is measured in loads. Photos at booking are what get the fraction right before anyone drives anywhere.
Weight moves the base
Tile, concrete, shingles, wet lumber, and boxed books shift pricing from space to tonnage, because that is how disposal facilities charge. Central Texas patio and bathroom demos live in this category — small piles, real weight.
Access is labor in disguise
Curbside is the cheap position; stairs, long carries, and tight apartment turns add crew minutes. Round Rock's newer subdivisions are mostly kind on this dial — the exceptions are third-floor walkups and backyard items traveling through gate-width openings.
Special items, named in advance
Refrigerant appliances (certified recovery required), hot tubs and pianos (disassembly jobs), and safes (mass) each carry honest line items. A quote that names them from your photos is trustworthy; a lowball that discovers them on-site is the oldest trick in hauling. Photos, address, number — usually same-day.
